The bird's head design for this napkin ring appears on page 39 of 'Iona Celtic Art, the Work of Alexander and Euphemia Ritchie (MacArthur 2003) in the form of a silver brooch and also as a drawing by Iain MacCormick on page 34 of 'The Celtic Art of Iona' (1994).
Stamped for 'S & Co' with hallmarks for Chester and indistinct date letter for 1935.
Condition, externally excellent. Some tarnishing to interior.
